Sea Change

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL. A superyacht interior spanning private staterooms, principal suites, formal living and dining salons, and expansive exterior deck spaces.

Client Type: A large, tight, close knit family who love to travel and spend time together at sea.

Design Goal: The family wanted a yacht that felt like a true floating home, warm, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant, where multiple generations could gather, entertain, and unwind in comfort. Drawn to a serene coastal palette and a sense of calm sophistication, they sought interiors that celebrated life on the water while delivering the polish and refinement of a luxury residence.

The yacht is refined coastal contemporary, pairing the clean, fluid lines of modern yacht design with the warmth and texture of relaxed seaside living. The palette is built on a soft foundation of ivory, sand, and pale bleached oak, layered with restful blues from sky and powder to deep ocean and indigo, accented with polished chrome and pearlescent finishes. Materials are luminous and tactile, from grasscloth and agate patterned wall coverings to marble, glass, and woven textiles.

Signature details give the interiors their bespoke, sea inspired character: custom upholstered headboards and channeled paneling, coral and shell motifs, mosaic tilework, fish and wave themed art and wallpaper, organic stone and capiz surfaces, and sculptural statement lighting in glass, beaded shell, and laser cut wood. Tonally the work is serene, luminous, sophisticated, and inviting.

Our scope spanned full interior design across the vessel, including space planning, custom millwork and furniture design, finish and material selection, lighting design, soft goods and bedding, and styling.

We approached the yacht as a cohesive coastal sanctuary, carrying a unified palette and material language across staterooms, salons, and exterior decks while giving each space its own distinct personality, from the tranquil principal suites to the playful, jewel-like powder room.

Lighting was layered with particular care for life at sea, weaving together recessed sources, integrated cove and toe-kick illumination, and sculptural decorative fixtures to create warmth and ambiance in every condition. Custom built furnishings were designed to suit the proportions and movement of the vessel, balancing durability with luxury.

The result is a refined, family centered yacht that feels both grand and genuinely livable, a home on the water made for a family who treasures time together.
