After Hours

Location: Stamford, CT

Design Goal: The Entertainment Suite was conceived as the social heart of the home, a lower level reimagined into a fully realized destination for gathering, relaxing, and celebrating. Our clients wanted a space that could move effortlessly between quiet evenings and lively entertaining, a place where family and guests would naturally want to linger.

We approached the project as a complete environment rather than a single room, weaving together a lounge, a dining area, a glass enclosed wine room, and the connective spaces that hold them in conversation. The result is a suite that feels immersive and considered at every turn, designed to indulge the senses while remaining deeply comfortable and livable.

The design speaks a refined contemporary language, grounded in a sophisticated palette of soft grays, warm woods, and cool neutrals. We layered plush textures against clean lines, allowing rich walnut tones and tailored upholstery to bring warmth to the modern framework.

Vintage inspired champagne and cognac posters add a note of collected personality, while a sculptural glass chandelier introduces a moment of quiet glamour. This is modern design with soul, luxurious yet inviting, polished yet unmistakably made for real life.

Central to the suite is a temperature controlled wine room, framed in blackened steel and glass and finished with custom cedar racking, a stone floor, and integrated lighting that turns the collection into living art.

We designed the adjoining lounge around a generous custom sectional and a bespoke walnut cocktail table, anchored by an abstract hand knotted rug. The dining area, defined by a sculptural pedestal table and layered lighting, completes the sequence. Working closely with our artisans and fabricators, we detailed every custom element to deliver a seamless, transportive whole.
